Izabella Gustowska
Polish intermedia artist who works on longterm cycles of works and films. In the years 1967-1972 she studied at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Poznań (now University of Arts in Poznań), currently she is a professor at this university. He also works at Higher School of Humanities and Journalism. Lives and works in Poznań, travels around the world, for years representing Poland at important art events and in important institutions. Works in the field of various media. At the turn of 1970-1978, she was a member of the group of Poznań artists odNOWA. In the years 1979-1992 she ran the ON Gallery in Poznań. She was a scholarship holder of prof. Emilio Vedova in Venice, the Art Development Fund, University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada, The San Zanobi Foundation in Italy, Central Saint Martin's College of Art in London and the Ministry of Culture and Art in Poland on several occasions. In 1987, she represented Poland at the São Paulo Biennial and has won numerous prestigious and international graphic biennials and triennials (Krakow, Bradford, Ljubljana, New Delhi, Fredrikstad) and competitions in the field of drawing, painting, graphics and even textiles. She had over 50 exhibitions and individual presentations. Izabella Gustowska is also a curator of exhibitions and art events and the author of performance-lectures.
Karolina Kubik
visual artist, performer, poet, activist of the Poznań initiative for women "In Our Matters". Through subjective feeling of history, both in the plan of individual and collective experiences, she tries to combine the inexpressible with dialogical forms and the practice of democratizing art. She analyzes the axis between the human body and geopolitics. An important element of her activities is the exchange of subjectivity with the viewer and embarrassing situations within the counterculture. She lives and works in Poznań. She participated in projects, group exhibitions and performance art festivals in Poland and abroad (including Bratislava, Belfast, Berlin, Edinburgh, London, Lviv, Kaunas, Madison, New York, Skopje, Istanbul, Jerusalem / Tel-Aviv, Tartu, Zagreb). A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań (2010), in the years 2010-2013 she collaborated with Mirosław Bałka in the Studio of Spatial Activities at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań and Warsaw; currently a PhD student at UAP, where she has been a research assistant at the Intermedia Department since 2014. In 2016-2018 she was a Fulbright Commission scholarship holder at MFA studies at Performance Studies Department at the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Pratt Institute in New York.
Krzysztof Łukomski
communication designer, researcher and curator of art events. He is involved in art education, teaches at the Intermedia Department of the University of Arts in Poznań and organises workshops at the international University of Design, the School of Form. His practice focuses on new process-oriented methodologies and communication between its participants. Together with Marianna Dobkowska, he worked on two exhibitions and longterm programs at the Center for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw - Gotong Royong. Things We Do Together and Social Design for Social Living (exhibition and program of activities at the National Gallery of Indonesia in Jakarta). He is interested in interdisciplinary and performative experiences in contemporary art and social design, as well as community art. In educational practice, he uses travel as an art tool, creating teamworks of artists, designers and activists. One of such team practices organized by him, entitled ART (OF) JOURNEY was an official part of the 2017 Kathmandu Triennial program.
Daniel Koniusz
audiovisual artist. He runs the Audiosphere studio at the Intermedia Department in the University of Arts in Poznań. In his work, he uses various media: installation, sound and architecture. His works have been presented at several dozen exhibitions in Poland and abroad, incl. in Italy, Germany, China, Ukraine, Egypt, the Center for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw, the East Gallery in Warsaw, the National Museum in Poznań, the Arsenał Municipal Gallery in Poznań and the Contemporary Museum in Wrocław
Izabela Sitarska
deals with artistic education based on the language of theater and performance. She arranges site-specific spatial situations, directs plays and performative activities. In recent years she directed performative actions (including Glocca Morra, a 4-hour show at the Apollo cinema-theater in Poznań, at Malta Festival she worked with Dialog Experiment, workshops with LGBT youth, just to name a few. Thanks to the Center for Contemporary Art in Warsaw, she went on an art-exchange to Iran, where she directed a performance working with local artists in Tehran and Isfahan. Izabela works with people, learning about the possibilities, character and interests of each individual. Such recognition helps her to create a team of people dealing with specific projects. During open discussions and conversations, she gives each person space for expression. She uses a mind map, exercises in the awareness of the place and images that can be created with your body, for example for future performances.
